MPE Expressions Volume 2 by Marc Barnes is a collection of 32 expressive presets for Arturia Pigments, designed to explore cinematic textures, evolving pads, synth brass, rave sequences, distorted basses, physical modelled instruments, vocoders, ambient soundscapes and modern electronic performance sounds.
Built with MPE performance in mind, this sound bank takes full advantage of pressure, pitch movement and expressive control to create deeply playable sounds ranging from atmospheric and emotional to aggressive and energetic. Inspired by classic digital synths, vintage analogue tones, cinematic scoring and 90s/00s electronic music, the bank covers a wide range of styles while remaining highly performance-focused throughout.
The presets were created and tested using the Osmose from Expressive E. Compatibility with other MPE controllers may vary and cannot be guaranteed.
All presets can also be played from a regular MIDI keyboard using the mod wheel for expressive control.
